Before you start to plot out anything, research and prepare a list of activities that are popularly enjoyed in your locality. Include famous places for sightseeing, dining, drinking, shopping, and enjoying recreations. For every place you list, write the time and days they are open, the estimated time to accomplish the task, and the expected costs. You might even get a discount or special offers for your guests if the establishments find out you can help with their business. In addition, find out the schedules, routes, and fares for the modes of transportation that your vacationers will take throughout the town.

Having all this information will make it easier for you to make an itinerary and budget that can be fitted to your guests' desires. Discuss the details with your vacationers and offer suggestions. Develop a plan that will allow them to experience the true local culture. Make sure that you plot out ample time for rest and relaxation.

After writing an itinerary, print out copies for you and your vacationers so you will all know your schedule. As you begin your day, keep in mind that your schedule should not necessarily be followed to the letter because in the end, what every holiday goer really wants is to have leisure and fun.
